Albanian cabinet members and deputies will receive half the salary until the fight against the coronary virus is completed, Prime Minister Eddie Rama said.
He added that for the time being he will not cut others’ pay, ATA reports.
“As a plan A, I wanted to introduce some kind of mandatory donation for all those who earn more, such as those in large companies or those who have high pay in the public sector, but I realized that this would be viewed in the wrong way and that would be misinterpreted in the media as the state struggles to pay its wages, “Rama explained.
