Ramic: Dodik’s threat to declare the independence of BiH

Press release regarding Dodik’s threat to declare the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. entity of the Republika Srpska

Press release regarding Dodik’s threat to declare the independence of the Bosnia and Herzegovina entity of the Republika Srpska if the high representative Christian Schmidt imposes the law on state property.

Bosnia and Herzegovina and international entities advocating that the entities do not have the right to secede should finally move from words to actions.

On December 13, 2021, a joint criminal complaint was submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Canadian Genocide Research Institute and the association ‘Woman Victim of War’ against Milorad Dodik.

The criminal complaint was filed because Milorad Dodik is at the head of an anti-Bosnian, anti-state coalition made up of the official bodies of the RS entity, who, through the public officials of the SNSD and their partners who were elected to the institutions of that entity, are actively implementing a plan of silent secession that was systematically devised a long time ago. separation of entities from the sovereign power of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For us, the secession is in progress.

We believe that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is under attack due to the continuous denial of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, endangering its territorial integrity, independence, sovereignty, and state-legal political subjectivity, radical violation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace, which is a threat to peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and undermining the perspective of all citizens, including citizens from the RS entity.

We believe that there is a well-founded suspicion of a criminal offense from the article of the law that refers to an attack on the constitutional order, endangering the territorial integrity, undermining the military or defense power by armed rebellion, illegal formation of military forces and others, we wrote in the criminal complaint.

Bearing in mind that we have not received any response to our criminal complaint, we once again warn most seriously that the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina are obliged to react decisively and take urgent steps within their jurisdiction. There must be no delay or waiting for any deadlines.

Because of the threat of secession of BiH. of the RS entity, Milorad Dodik and his political partners are introducing Bosnia and Herzegovina into uncertainty and instability, the consequences of which may be unfathomable for the region, Europe, and the world. In their destructive anti-state action, these forces must be institutionally prevented by the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the same time, we call on the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina to, by the Bonn mandate, ban the political activity of Milorad Dodik and all those who threaten the territorial integrity, independence, sovereignty, and political and legal subjectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We ask the Steering Committee of the Peace Implementation Council to seriously consider the anti-Bosnian and anti-state activities of Milorad Dodik, especially the dangerous threat of secession of BiH. entity RS from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and urgently take measures to protect Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is time for the prosecution, judiciary, and security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina to stand by their country, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is time for the High Representative, the Steering Committee of the Peace Implementation Council, and the free world to stand with the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is time for the pro-Bosnian forces in and outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina to gather for one strategic goal, the defense of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
