Joseph Biden Government looking for North Korea visit, but Kim is unresponsive

The Biden government began a state visit to North Korea last month, but the country has not responded

The Biden government last month launched a back door to reach North Korea through various channels, according to government officials.

So far, Pyongyang said officials “consulted with the North Korean government through various channels starting in mid-February, including New York, to reduce the threat of escalation,” he said.

This continued for more than a year with no positive talks with North Korea, despite numerous attempts by the United States.

Officials did not provide details on what would guide them but said the government was conducting a ministerial review of U.S. policy.
