SARAJEVO, (Patria) – In March 2020, 58,686 unemployed persons were registered on the records of the Public Institution “Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton”, which is 0.18% more than in February 2020. The share of women in the total number of registered unemployed persons is 36,744 or 62.61%.
Cash in March 2020 was used by 2,583 people, down 209 compared to February. In March 2020, health insurance was used by 45,206 insurance carriers and 19,952 household members.
The number of employees in KS at the end of March was 141,652, while the number of employees in February was 143,109.
In April, the number of newly registered unemployed persons on the register increased and the total number of unemployed persons at KS on Monday, April 27 was 62,712. Over the past few days, several hundred people have been logging in daily. As of March 18, 4,683 people had logged in.
