At an extraordinary press conference, Daniela Kristic told reporters that they had officially received an OHR interpretation that she is the one who chairs the Canton Sarajevo Assembly.
“The interpretation of the Office of the High President is that I am the speaker of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly,” Kristic told reporters.
– The opinion was received by all the heads of the MPs, as well as the clubs of the people. It is clear that I am the chairman, which was controversial to them, and now we have the position of the OHR and that is not in dispute. We will open the session tomorrow and start the regular procedure. According to this interpretation, the Speaker of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly is me, who was elected under the FBiH Constitution and all legal provisions as the Rules of Procedure of the KS Assembly. Election of the Speaker of the KS Assembly with the election of 18 hands is not possible because it is not in accordance with the FBiH Constitution. This proves that the Constitution and laws must be respected and I hope that my colleagues will return to the legal framework – said Kristic.
