CROATIAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES WHEN IT’S OPENING: Most stores are open as of Monday

Since April 27, the gradual normalization of life in Croatia has begun. The measures shall be abolished but subject to epidemiological measures. Measures of physical distance and enhanced hygiene continue to apply.

The government has agreed a plan to ease the measures and normalization of life will begin soon in Croatia. The plan consists of three phases, the first of which starts on April 27. Prime Minister Plenkovic announced at a cabinet session that a gradual economic awakening would take place.

The new startup will take place in three phases.

The first phase on Monday, April 27

Work will be provided to all business entities engaged in trade activities except those operating within shopping centers.

All services except those that require close contact with customers – so like carpenters, travel agencies …

Public city and suburban and island lines are being introduced.

All services such as joiners and travel agencies are starting to work with the exception of those requiring close contact with clients (such as hairdressers and beauticians who will not start their work on Monday).

It is possible to conduct state professional exam for priority groups of students.

Work will be provided to those who perform service activities, who have close contact with clients, but with special measures.

Libraries, museums, antiques and bookstores operate with their work.

Phase Two of May 4

Hoping that the first phase will prove successful, and with the adherence to the measures, the second phase of May 4 will follow.

The full scale public health system will be provided. Starts the operation of the private health care system in full compliance with specific epidemiological measures.

Service industries start working closely with clients, but with special measures. This will mean that the hairdressers, beauticians, barbers, pedicures are working on Monday, May 4th…

Phase Three – May 11

Up to ten people will be able to gather in one place while respecting social distance.

Shopping centers will be provided with special measures.

Work will be provided for pre-school institutions and classes from 1st to 4th grade, as well as special classes and work for children with disabilities.

Laboratory and clinical training and small group work in higher education will be facilitated.

The third phase of measures to activate economic and other activities enters into force on Monday, 11.05.2020.
