1. They do not waste time feeling sorry for themselves

Mentally strong people do not sit idly by feeling sorry for themselves and lamenting their life circumstances or lamenting other people’s behaviors towards them. Instead, they take responsibility for their role in life and accept the fact that life is not always easy and fair.

2. They do not give their power to other people

They don’t let other people control them, they don’t give another person power over them. They don’t say things like “I feel bad because of my boss” because they understand that they have control over their emotions and that they make choices about how they react.

3. They do not run away from change

Mentally strong people do not try to avoid change. Instead, they embrace positive change and are willing to be flexible. They understand that change is inevitable and believe in their ability to adapt.

4. They don’t waste energy on things they can’t control

You will not hear a mentally strong person complaining about traffic jams. Instead, they focus on what they can control in their lives. They know that the only thing they can control is their attitude.

5. They do not strive to satisfy the desires and ideas of other people

Mentally strong people recognize that they don’t need to please everyone all the time. They are not afraid to say “NO” and stand up for their position when necessary. They strive to achieve their goals and stand up for themselves while at the same time being kind, fair, and respecting other people’s rights.

6. They are not afraid to take calculated risks

They do not take reckless or foolish risks but take calculated risks. Mentally strong people spend time weighing the risks and benefits before making a big decision, they are fully aware of the potential disadvantages before taking action.

7. They don’t think too much about the past

Mentally strong people do not waste time dwelling on the past and wanting things to be different. They acknowledge their past and draw lessons and lessons from the past. However, they do not constantly relive bad experiences from the past or fantasize about glorious days in the future. Instead, they live in the present and plan for the future.

8. They don’t make the same mistakes over and over again

Mentally strong people accept responsibility for their behavior and learn from their previous mistakes. As a result, they do not repeat these mistakes over and over again. Instead, they continue on their way and make better decisions in the future.

9. They don’t envy other people for their success

Mentally strong people can appreciate and respect the successes of other people in life. They do not feel jealous or feel cheated when others surpass them. Instead, they acknowledge that success comes with hard work, and they are willing to work hard for their chance of success.

10. They don’t give up after the first failure

Mentally strong people do not see failure as a reason to give up their goal. Instead, they use failure as an opportunity for development and improvement. They are ready to try until they realize their dream.

11. They are not afraid to spend time alone

Mentally strong people can tolerate being alone and they are not afraid of silence. They are not afraid to be alone with their thoughts and use breaks to be productive. They enjoy solitude.

12. They don’t expect fast results and success overnight

Whether you are working on improving your health or getting a new job, mentally strong people do not expect quick results. Instead, they hone their skills and do things the best they can and accept that real and big changes take time.
