ABOUT INVISIBLE THREADS

In his first feature documentary since TOWER TO THE PEOPLE – Tesla’s Dream at Wardenclyffe Continuesaward-winning filmmaker/researcher Joseph Sikorski delves into a rare part of local history that had world-changing consequences.  INVISIBLE THREADS – From Wireless to War explores the early innovation of wireless technology on the eve of WWI that connected Nikola Tesla and Guglielmo Marconi to a shadowy wireless station in West Sayville, NY, called Telefunken. Although the film focuses on Telefunken,  Tesla’s legal battle with Marconi, as well as his financial and personal struggles during a divided time, are all integral parts of the film.

SYNOPSIS

On the eve of an imminent global conflict, spies, subterfuge, and sabotage emerge in America as the birth of new technology changes the world forever. While Nikola Tesla, Guglielmo Marconi, and a mysterious German wireless plant compete for radio supremacy off the East Coast of New York, the unseen casualties of war threaten to divide a nation. Hidden secrets, sabotage, and a legendary ship sinking were all part of a forgotten wireless plant called Telefunken…. a story linked through history by invisible threads.
