Indonesia’s Bamboo Mosque (video)

BANTEN, INDONESIA – MAY 18: A man prepares to perform a prayer at the Saka Buana Mosque in Banten, Indonesia on May 18, 2020. The naming of the Saka Buana Mosque itself quotes Sanskrit from the words “Saka” which means the Pillar and “Buana” which means the World. The mosque covers an area of 260 square meters with 60% of the building material made of bamboo. The Saka Buana Mosque is claimed to be the largest mosque in Indonesia that is made of bamboo.
