Požar je zahvatio izbjeglički kamp Rohinja u Bangladešu, a oko 3.500 je ostalo bez domova. Preko milion izbjeglica živi tamo nakon bijega od ubijanja u Mjanmaru, a UN ističe da su imali “nameru da izvrše genocid”. Porodice su izgubile sve: “Ništa više nije ostalo.”

Nito nije izgubio život, ali je najmanje deset pripadnika tog naroda ozlijeđeno bježeći pred vatrom koja je buknula u kampu u Nayapari, na jugoistoku zemlje, izjavio je povjerenik za izbjeglice u Bangladešu Rezwan Hayat.

Po Hayatovim riječima, vodi se istraga o uzroku požara koji je možda prouzročilo plinsko kuhalo, kojim se koristi većina izbjeglica u kampu, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

U Bangladeš se sklonilo oko 750.000 Rohindža, muslimana koji su pred progonom vojske i budističkih milicija 2017. prebjegli iz Mijanmara, zemlje s budističkom većinom.
