Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Moscow would intensify attacks on military targets in Ukraine, following an…
…unprecedented weekend Ukrainian attack on the Russian city of Belgorod.
Saturday’s Ukrainian attack, which killed 25 people including five children, came after Moscow launched a major assault on Ukrainian cities.
“We will intensify the strikes. No crime against civilians will go unpunished, that’s for sure,” Putin said during a visit to a military hospital.
He said that Russia will continue to target “military installations”.
“We are doing that today and we will continue it tomorrow,” announced Putin.
Meanwhile, Kyiv said Russia targeted the country with a “record” number of drones on New Year’s Day.
“What happened in Belgorod is a terrorist act,” Putin told wounded Russian soldiers sitting near him in hospital pajamas and face masks.
