Turkish Red Crescent delivers holy month aid in Sudan

Aid agency distributes 4,000 food parcels to poor in Sudan since beginning of Muslim holy month of Ramadan

The Turkish Red Crescent has distributed 224 food parcels for the needy in the African nation of Sudan as part of its aid campaign during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The aid agency, also known as Kizilay, distributed food parcels to people in need living in a tent city, nursing homes, and an orphanage in the capital Khartoum.

Serdar Yilmaz, head of the Turkish Red Crescent Sudan delegation, said they have distributed 4,000 food parcels to those in need in Sudan since the beginning of Ramadan.

The agency is also planning to distribute another 1,000 food parcels to needy Sudanese through the end of the holy month.

The Turkish Red Crescent is the largest humanitarian organization in Turkey, with an international network to help nations in need.
