The mayors of seven European cities have called on governments and the EU to help

The mayors of cities in seven European countries, including Paris and London, today called on their governments and European institutions to urgently “mobilize means of production and distribution” to save the lives of citizens during the Coronavirus epidemic.

The joint appeal was made by the mayors of Paris, London, Brussels, Lisbon, Warsaw, Florence and Budapest, Paris city officials said.

“We officially call on our governments and European institutions to mobilize production and distribution resources without delay so that all protective equipment that is imperative for medical staff is available,” the appeal said.

Mayors also call for assistance in the delivery of medical equipment that is lacking in resuscitation departments, as well as assistance with drug delivery and other therapies.

And also added that industry and the economy should prioritize work to save lives.
