As of April 26, 2020 at 3 p.m Serbia has confirmed 8,042 cases of COVID-19 and 156 deaths. All commercial flights to and from Serbia are suspended indefinitely.
All border crossings (air, land, or river) are closed for travelers. As of March 15 Government of Serbia declared state of emergency with widespread travel restrictions and curfews. Following measures are in effect [UPDATED: April 26, 2020]:

- Nationwide curfew for all residents: Mondays through Thursdays 6:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. and Fridays from 6:00 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following Monday. Because of the upcoming Serbian Labor Day Holiday Serbian Government announced an extended curfew from 6 p.m. Thursday April 30 until 5. a.m. Monday May 4. Residents with a medical urgency and those who posses a work permit and/or special authorization issued by the appropriate Serbian government authorities are exempt from respecting the curfew.
- People age 65 and older (70 and older in rural areas) are prohibited from leaving their homes, except for Friday morning between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. to purchase supplies. They are also allowed to be outside on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. for a period of 30 minutes, within 600 meters of their home.
- Dogs may be walked every day between 11:00 p.m and 1:00 a.m. and on weekends during curfew between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a period of 20 minutes, within 200 meters of your home, by a maximum of two people together.
- Some of the stores and shops are reopened as of April 21, including car mechanics, tire shops, shoemakers, tailors, dry cleaners, and driving schools, as well as some retail stores such as bookstores, auto dealers, bicycle shops, stores selling technical goods and building materials.
- Most of the outdoor farmer’s markets have been reopened as of April 22. Reopening of the Indoor farmer’s markets is planned for April 27. Daily updated contact information of the farmers who are offering home delivery of their products in Belgrade can be found here here.
- All public transportation is suspended. Taxi services remain operational and driving personal vehicles is allowed.
- Cafes, restaurants and shopping malls are closed for public with the exception of some who still provide takeaway and food delivery services.
- All sports related facilities, senior care centers, kindergartens, schools and universities are closed.
- Barbershops and beauty salons have been closed. [possible reopening as of April 27]
- Gambling facilities and casinos have been closed.
- Public gatherings are limited to no more then 2 persons.
- While outside of their homes, people are requested to maintain the distance of at least 6.6 ft.
- Occupancy for all Indoor facilities opened for public is limited to one person on an area of 43 sq ft.
- All public parks and public recreation areas are closed for visitors.
- Supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations, post offices, banks and other service providers reduced their working hours to observe the curfew, with most closing by 5 p.m. or earlier.
- U.S. Embassy Belgrade has suspended routine consular services as of March 16. Emergency American Citizens Services including emergency passport issuance continue to be available.

Information For Travelers and Serbia Entry and Exit Requirements:
- There are no commercial air travel options. All borders are closed for passenger traffic.
- The U.S. Embassy in Serbia has coordinated two charter flights. First one departed on March 26 from Belgrade to Los Angeles with 64 U.S. citizens on board and the second one on April 8 from Belgrade to Washington D.C. with 178 U.S. citizens on board. We do not expect there to be any more flights from Serbia to the United States until regular commercial service resumes.

- Visitors and residents should be prepared for additional restrictions on movement to be put in to effect with little or no advanced notice.

Quarantine Information:
- Mandatory 28-day self-isolation for anyone who entered the country on March 14, 2020 and later.
- Serbia has designated COVID-19 hospitals and quarantine locations across the country.
- The Clinics accepts patients with COVID-19 symptoms through a dedicated entrance separate from that used by other patients. If the test results are negative, the patient is released. If the tests results are positive, the patient will remain at the Clinic.
