Riyadh, July 18, 2020:  Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues, at local, regional, and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved remarkable progress according to the United Nations indices in the digital transformation.

The paper added that Saudi Arabia moved up 9 notches in the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI), while ranking 27th globally and 8th among the G20 countries in sub-index of digital infrastructure.

The paper concluded that, on the human capital index, Saudi Arabia jumped 15 notches to 35th globally, while Riyadh ranked 10th in the world in terms of sub-technology and 31st globally in cities competitiveness.

Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Iranian regime is continuing its aggressive behavior in the region through its proxies in Yemen, which receive military and financial support to carry out its suspicious agendas and commit more crimes, attacks and violations of all international laws and humanitarian norms.

The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on the UN Security Council to take strong and decisive measures to prevent the danger that would be posed by Safer oil tanker, as the Houthi militias are seeking to exploit this potential disaster in order to achieve their political agenda without any consideration for the welfare and safety of the Yemeni people and the region.4
