Kosovo Assembly adopts Budget Law and Resolution on Dialogue with Belgrade

The Kosovo Assembly early this morning, with 63 votes in favor, adopted the Kosovo Budget Law for 2020, which provides for revenue of EUR 2.02 billion and expenditure of EUR 2.37 billion.

Economic growth is projected at 4.2 percent, nominally by 5 percent and inflation at 1.3 percent, based on calculations made before the onset of the virus coronas, which, due to measures taken, can have a negative impact on these parameters.

Following the adoption of the Law in principle, the Assembly Committees considered the Bill and proposed amendments to the Law, which were explained by the Chairman of the Commission, Hekuran Murati, on behalf of the Committee on Budgets and Transfers.

Previously, the Assembly, with 57 votes in favor and five abstentions, adopted a resolution on dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which was put on the agenda at the request of the head of the DSK group, Arben Gadjia.

Deputies of the opposition parties and the Serb List were not present at the session.
