SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Federal Interior Minister Aljosha Campara has today submitted to the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters a proposal to repeal the Order banning the movement of citizens (“curfew”) in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Champara suggested that the repeal of the ban on movement of citizens come into force on 4 May 2020, stating that, based on a detailed analysis of the security situation in the Federation of BiH, he appreciates that the conditions for the complete abolition of this measure have been obtained.
He proposed to the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, if it was not possible to lift the ban on movement of citizens on May 4, 2020, due to the epidemiological situation, which he did not indulge in as an Federal Minister of the Interior, to do so gradually in early May.
In that case, Minister Champara proposed adopting an amendment to the Order on the Prohibition of Movement of Citizens in the Territory of the Federation of BiH by prohibiting the movement of citizens in the FBiH from 22:00 until 4 May 2020. 05:00 hrs and this measure will be completely abolished on May 11, 2020.
The curfew in the Entity of the Federation of BiH was introduced on March 21, 2020 at the recommendation of Minister Campara as part of measures related to the prevention of the spread of coronaviruses (COVID-19), the Cabinet of Ministers said.
